Zgierz City of Sport
Our goal is to promote a healthy and active lifestyle among the residents of the City of Zgierz, especially children and young people. We firmly believe that by allowing children and young people to develop in the field of sport, they have the opportunity to continuously develop their talent, sporting skills, character – they learn teamwork, independence, responsibility for others, healthy competition, courage in making decisions, discipline.
Sports activities help prevent the development of diseases (i.e. obesity, lowered immunity, spine diseases) and create an alternative to the computer, console or TV. Thanks to our activities, children will have the opportunity to spend their free time and learn a healthy lifestyle throughout the year.
It is on our facilities, which we manage, that Olympic athletes, world and European championships medallists, Zgierz sports clubs, and above all children and young people – the future of Zgierz sport – train.
We combine sport with business.We offer our customers a wide range of services related to the rental of facilities or advertising space. With our conference rooms, you can organise your training, a conference or a birthday party for your child.

We are the organiser of sporting events as part of the School Youth Games at the municipal level and, as a result of an agreement between the Zgierz City Board and the Zgierz District Starosty, of district competitions. In terms of school sport, we cooperate with the Łódź School Sports Association. We coordinate activities in the field of school sports events on the territory of the city, county and district, which also includes the counties of Łęczyca, Pabianice and Poddębice.
Our objectives and commitment are particularly focused on:
- Proper maintenance, modernisation and development of sports facilities in Zgierz
- Organising sports and recreational activities for children, young people and adults;
- Organising sports competitions at municipal, provincial national and international level;
- Provide appropriate conditions for school physical education classes as well as sports and recreational activities and competitions for the disabled
- Organising performance events;
- Promoting a sporting lifestyle by organising family and amateur events;
- Use of managed facilities and land for fairs, conventions, symposiums, festivals, congresses, shows, company promotions and product presentations, stock exchanges, auctions, fairs, as well as for service and sports and leisure activities;
- Liaise with local authorities and relevant institutions and organisations as well as individuals in the development of various sports and active leisure activities;
- Implementation of other assigned tasks of the City of Zgierz in the field of sport support.
